MIBR beat Legacy 13:8 in their opening match at the IEM Cologne Major 2026
The first day of Stage 2 at the main CS2 tournament opened with an all-Brazilian classic. Made in Brazil sorted things out against Legacy on Nuke and advanced through the bracket, while their compatriots took a defeat right at their Major debut.

The 13:8 scoreline speaks for itself: the duel was not balanced. A key role in MIBR’s win belonged to the Russian Klimentiy “kl1m” Krivosheev – he looked the most convincing player on the server and, to a large extent, defined the gap on the scoreboard. Nuke is a capricious map: whoever keeps control of the bombsites tends to dictate the pace. The Brazilians grabbed that rhythm quickly and never let it go until the end.
For MIBR this is already the second phase of the tournament: the club came through Stage 1 and reached the Swiss format with plenty of energy to spare. Now they have a 1-0 record on their resume, and the next task is already set: in the second half of the same day, at 15:30 Brasília time, the team will continue its campaign at the Cologne Championships 2026 – meaning they arrived in Cologne with real winning momentum.
The early stumble stings even more. A Brazilian classic always carries high stakes, the public follows closely, and a scoreline of 8:13 leaves no room for interpretation. Now Legacy face another match on the same day – at 14:30 against FlyQuest. A loss there means an early tournament exit; a win, the fight to carry on.
What comes next in the bracket
