saadzin signs with Imperial Esports after two years at Legacy

Imperial Esports have officially announced the signing of sniper Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco. The player arrives after a two-year spell at Legacy and had already shown his worth for the new club as a stand-in before sealing the permanent deal.

From stand-in to starter: a frictionless transition

The announcement was made through the organisation’s official channel on X, with a direct message: “A new chapter begins. Welcome, saadzin. May it be a path of great achievements, let’s go together.” Short, no exaggeration. And it makes sense, because saadzin already knew the environment well – he played as Imperial’s temporary substitute in two qualifiers for the RES Showdown South America Fall 2026 and even lifted the CCT South America 2026 Series #3 trophy with the team before officially signing.

This prior familiarity is usually a differentiator. When a player arrives in the squad having already played tournaments for the club, the adaptation period is practically zero – and Imperial clearly took this into account in the decision.

At Legacy since the end of May 2024, the sniper accumulated a respectable CV in the South American scene and beyond. There were three majors played, two wins at the CS Asia Championships – in 2025 and 2026 – plus a runner-up finish at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 and a third place at Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta 2026. It is not just any path.

Consistency in high-level tournaments is exactly what sets saadzin apart from other names on the regional scene. Asian champion twice in a row, a podium at an international LAN – the player has already proven he performs outside the South American bubble. For Imperial, who are seeking space on the big global stages, this profile carries weight.
