FaZe opens the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 Closed Qualifier with a 2:0 win over EYEBALLERS

FaZe opened its BLAST Bounty Summer 2026: Closed Qualifier campaign with a win, beating EYEBALLERS 2:0 in a series much closer than the scoreline suggests. The first map went to overtime. Only in the second did the favorites’ status hold without any scares.
Mirage: even, pressure and overtime
The Mirage pick belonged to the Swedes of EYEBALLERS, and they knew how to use the map. Both teams reached the half at 6:6, with neither side able to build a real advantage. In the second half, FaZe took control on the T side and even held three map points at 12:9. It looked settled.
It wasn’t. EYEBALLERS held on, forced overtime and got back into the fight. But in the extra rounds the European side failed to convert a single one, and FaZe closed it out 16:12. Job done, but not without a cost.
Dust2: no resistance in the middle, a calm second half
On the second map, the reading of the game changed. FaZe entered Dust2 on the T side and ran it over: they finished the first half comfortably ahead, 9:3. With that margin in hand, the second half was more about management than battle. A 13:9 win, series over.
MVP goes to the loser, EYEBALLERS eliminated
The curious detail of the match was the MVP. Despite the defeat, the highest individual rating went to yxngstxr of EYEBALLERS, who was playing as a stand-in. He finished with 44 kills to 35 deaths, an ADR of 91.8 and a rating of 1.43. Numbers that would win the game in other circumstances. FaZe collects its first point in the tournament. EYEBALLERS are out. The BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 Closed Qualifier runs until July 26, with 32 teams fighting for spots in the grand final in Malta.
