Riven Tides brings five ship models worth up to 250 Merits per match

The Riven Tides update has arrived in ARC Raiders with more than just new scenery: it introduced five collectible ship models that directly impact progress in the Last Resort Live Event, active until May 25. Ignoring these items can cost you a considerable share of free rewards.

What they are and why they matter

The ship models form a new Trinket subcategory. Like all items of that class, they don’t appear marked on the map – the game won’t guide you to them. The five models range from Common to Legendary and appear scattered across the Riven Tides map with no fixed location.

The progression logic lies in the Miniature Voyages event, part of Last Resort. Extracting any of these models guarantees a fixed Merits bonus added to the match’s normal XP. The difference between rarities is brutal: the common Wind Sprite is worth only 5 Merits, while the legendary Leviathan’s Crown delivers 250 Merits in a single run – fifty times more. The Velocity, of Rare rarity, balances the two extremes with 25 Merits and is the most consistent for farming.

Where to look and how to leave without losing the item

The Hotel Panorama Azzurro, in the western section of the map, is the most reliable spot to find Common and Uncommon models, with occasional Rare appearances. Inside the hotel, the northeast corridor of the ground-floor reception concentrates most of the spawns – especially on sofas and armchairs. The Velocity has already been reported in that specific corridor.

For the Sirena Dorata and the Leviathan’s Crown, the minor map condition called Beachcombing changes the game. With it active, it’s worth heading to the beach with the Dockmaster’s Detector – obtained in the first phase of the Avian Alarm project – to locate containers buried in the sand, which have a significantly higher chance of containing Epic or Legendary items.

Finding the model is only half the work. Extracting without losing the item requires planning: travel light so you don’t reduce your movement speed, use the Customs House elevator as a priority exit since it’s the closest point to the hotel, and consider keeping an Adrenaline Shot in your backpack to recover stamina in escape situations. After extraction, the models can be sold for coins if the event is no longer a priority.

Is it worth actively hunting?

For casual players, probably not. The common models contribute little, and the XP from normal matches still carries most of the progress in Last Resort. But if you’re extracting the Velocity regularly, the math starts to add up. The Leviathan’s Crown is a great surprise when it appears – not a viable farming objective. Treating it as an occasional bonus, not a goal, is the healthiest approach.
