Esports World Cup 2026 brings together 10 LoL teams with prizes of 75 million dollars

The Esports World Cup Foundation has confirmed that the third edition of the world’s largest esports tournament will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between July and August 2026. The prize pool reaches a historic record of 75 million dollars, and League of Legends already has ten teams secured in the competition.
Who is already confirmed in the LoL tournament
The spots were distributed across the world’s main competitive regions. From South Korea come four representatives: Gen.G Esports, the reigning EWC 2025 champion, joins T1, Hanwha Life Esports and Dplus Kia. Europe sends G2 Esports and Karmine Corp, both qualified via the EMEA route.
From China come AG.AL (also known as Anyone’s Legend) and JD Gaming. North America is represented by Sentinels, while the APAC region secured a spot through Team Secret. The remaining participants will be determined in the upcoming regional qualification phases.
Scale and ambition of the event
EWC 2026 will feature 24 disciplines in total, with the debut of Fortnite and Trackmania. More than two thousand players, representing around 200 clubs from over a hundred countries, will compete over seven weeks. The prize pool per discipline exceeds 39 million dollars. The rest is split between club awards, individual prizes – including the MVP of each discipline – and the Jafonso trophy, awarded to the player or team that reaches the title from the Last Chance Qualifier.
The organization also maintains its partnership program with 40 top clubs and the Road to EWC circuit, which opens a competitive path from the semi-professional level up to the main stage in Riyadh.
