Gonçalo Ramos joins Milan for €75m, Ansu Fati signs with Monaco

The transfer market is heating up as the second half of the year begins. On Tuesday, June 30, a series of deals became official – and a few others promise to shake up the days ahead. From PSG to Serie A, from Camp Nou to the Principality, money changed hands and contracts were signed.

The day’s big official deals

AC Milan spent around 75 million euros to take Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain. The Portuguese striker, who arrived at the French club two seasons ago from Benfica for similar figures, never managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter in the French capital. In Milan, expectations are different: the Rossoneri are looking for a reference striker to lead the attack, and Ramos fits the profile – young, complete and with European experience.

Also made official was Ansu Fati’s departure from Barcelona to Monaco. The Spaniard, who spent much of the last few seasons battling injuries and losing space at Barça, will try to reinvent himself in French football. The transaction was confirmed by both clubs as a permanent transfer – with no buy-back option, by all indications.

Monaco did not stop there. The Principality club also confirmed the sale of Caio Henrique to Ajax for approximately 13 million euros, in addition to the departures of Krépin Diatta, who ended his contract, and the arrival of Flávio Nazinho, coming from Cercle Bruges, Monaco’s satellite club.

Departures and restructuring in Italy

Inter Milan announced the collective departure of three players: goalkeeper Yann Sommer, defender Stefan de Vrij and fellow defender Francesco Acerbi. All ended their contracts with the Nerazzurri. Sommer, a 36-year-old Swiss, was a starter in last season’s Scudetto, but the club is already working on a replacement. The simultaneous exit of three experienced pieces signals a squad renewal that goes beyond the usual at Internazionale.

At Bayer Leverkusen, Alejandro Grimaldo swapped the Bundesliga for Atlético Madrid. The Spanish left-back, one of the best in Europe in his position, was sold for around 20 million euros. A relatively modest fee for a player of his level – but his contract was already in its final phase, leaving the German club little room to negotiate.

What’s coming: rumors and deals in progress

Real Madrid have opened talks with the entourage of Alessandro Bastoni, the Inter defender and pillar of the Italian national team. The Merengue move is consistent with their search to reinforce the defense after the aging of that sector. Bastoni, however, is under contract with the Milan club and will not be easy to prise away.

In parallel, Manchester City are reportedly in talks with Lille to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old Moroccan midfielder considered one of the biggest prospects in European football. The deal, if confirmed, would represent yet another young talent being absorbed by the machine of English football.

At Olympique de Marseille, two simultaneous moves: the departure of Habib Beye was officially confirmed, while Bruno Genesio is reportedly close to signing a two-year deal as the club’s new coach. A significant managerial shift for the Provençal side, which is trying to reorganize for next season.

Finally, Liam Rosenior is expected to seal a move to Paris FC soon, and Malang Sarr left RC Lens without renewing – even with an offer on the table. In Germany, Julian Nagelsmann ruled out any possibility of resignation after the German national team’s elimination, while Bayern Munich are working to keep Harry Kane. Axel Witsel, meanwhile, ended his spell at Girona with no destination confirmed.
