Milan lose Krosche and Hardung: Cardinale project crumbles before it begins

Milan are in crisis before they even line up. The deals with Krosche and Hardung, two of the main names considered to reinforce the club’s directorial structure, fell through. Gerry Cardinale’s project to reorganise the rossonero leadership remained on paper – and the problems are piling up fast.
Rudderless management and imminent departures
The crisis is not only about the transfer market. Coach Amorim arrived on a three-year contract, but found himself facing a structure with no real planning for the future. Without the two expected executives from Eintracht, the club ends up operating on improvisation – precisely at the moment it needs fast, strategic decision-making.
And the timing could not be worse. Mike Maignan and Rafael Leão, two of the team’s pillars, have given clear signs that they want to leave. The French goalkeeper, one of the best in Europe in his position, and the Portuguese forward make no secret of their desire for a fresh start. Losing both at the same time would be a blow that goes beyond a single name. The damage was twofold. A defeat for the national team, and silence over the star’s future in club football.
Meanwhile, Luka Modric will not renew with Real Madrid – which stirs the market and opens speculation about alternative destinations for the Croatian. The European landscape is boiling, and Milan have no structure to seize the opportunities that arise.
What lies ahead
Cardinale will need quick answers. Without Krosche and without Hardung, the club enters the summer market without a consolidated management department – a real risk in a window that promises to be hectic. The competition does not stop. Inter, for example, have already closed the signing of Provedel in goal, moving with greater agility.
Milan have talent on the pitch. But without a foundation off it, talent gets lost – or asks to leave.
